How to Make Your Own Baby Wipes

Earlier this year, our Founder & Chief Formulator Natacha Rey welcomed her second child, a son named Max.

Below she offers her very own tried and true method for making your own baby wipes offering your little one a 100% natural alternative and more cost effective solution than store-bought options.

Wipes often contain synthetic preservatives, like Sodium EDTA and DMDM Hydantoin as well as synthetic fragrances. Below is a recipe for natural wipes that cleanse and soothe your baby's bottom, with all of the benefits of our Baby's Blue Oil. These DYI wipes are a fraction of the cost of store-bought wipes.

What you'll need:

A large plastic container with lid.

1 roll of premium paper towels (we like Bounty)

1 tablespoon of Baby's Blue Oil

1 teaspoon of our 2 in 1 Wash

3/4 cup of warm water

Preparing the paper towels:

Quick method:  cut the entire roll in half (transverse)  and remove the cardboard centre.  Place the stack into a large enough container (with lid)

Detailed method:  rip off each sheet and place them into your container (with lid).

Preparing the mixture:

Bring 3/4 cup of water to boil and allow to cool

When warm, whisk in the 2 in 1 Baby Wash and the Baby's Blue Oil.

Pour over your stack of paper towels.  Allow to soak in for 10 minutes.  Turn container over to allow the entire stack to saturate.

You can either leave them in the container or transfer to a zip lock bag for travel.

Happy wiping!
